LAS VEGAS (DEC. 15, 2021) Lee Canyon announces it will open the Rabbit Peak quad
chair serving its beginner terrain, Friday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. Guests can purchase daily lift tickets in advance and online for $29, pricing that reflects the resort's phased opening. Season passholders should have their 2021/22 pass before heading to the chairlift. In the last 24 hours, Lee Canyon received 17 inches of snow. Before traveling to Lee Canyon, guests should check road conditions at www.NVroads.com. Parking reservations are unnecessary this year; however, other state and county COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect, including mandatory face masks while indoors. Lee Canyon is open daily during the winter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also opening on Friday are Lee Canyon's amenities like the Brewin' Burro Coffee House and Bristlecone Bar inside Hillside Lodge and the Bighorn Grill, which will serve its winter menu. Lee Canyon Sports will be open for shopping, and gear rentals and lessons will also be available. Guests must book ski, snowboard, boot, and helmet rentals online before visiting.
"Lee Canyon is ready to welcome back our ski and snowboard community," says Jim Seely, Lee Canyon's director of marketing. "The weather recently created optimal conditions for snowmaking and natural snowfall. We expect to have more news on additional terrain openings in the days ahead."
